So we recieved about 28 inches of snow in my part of the state from this storm and I am extremely impressed on how well my taco handled the snow. I plowed through more stuff than my friend with a jk jeep with 33's did( he was being boring). I dumped about 3 bags (180lbs) of sand over the rear axle and had stock shitty dunlops with about 7k miles on them (4 or 5 peel outs on them) and I managed to get through about 18-24 inches of snow without stopping. My truck is completely sock and I didn't use 4LO at all.

I am extremely happy with how well this truck handles the snow and how much fun I can have in it. I can only imagine how much better it will be when I get a set of ko2's.

    How'd y'all snow wheeling go?

    Got 2 feet around here.

Taco performed real well. I got stuck once which was my fault, ended up having to dig out which wasn't fun.

Actually I was suprised there wasn't that much stuck in the lower grill....I'm assuming it all went in through and got caught on top of the skid plate which all froze up this morning. Taco looks like it's got a bad cold now ;)...leaking out the front and looking all snotty and whatnot.

I was just getting ready to post about how poorly my 2007 TRD Off Road did in the snow. I had to have a Backhoe pluck me out of my own driveway. I'm glad your truck did well. Mine only had three wheels going. The front left just sat still while the right front would spin endlessly. The truck was on ice, but still, I just didn't expect that front left wheel to sit limp. I have a locker, but that wouldn't even help with a bunch of snow in the back.

I'm guessing the sand, new truck, newish tires, crossing my fingers, momentum, and three cups of coffee (hyperactivity) had something to do with my positive outcome. What kind of tires are you running? Stock dunflops or the crappy bridgestones?

Once you had it locked did you engage ATRAC? That should have regulated the power between the front wheels. But as per your other post, crap tires are crap tires.
