My Tacoma Pulling Ambulance, Dually, and Other Vehicles

I seem to recall skinnies for mud and wides for snow. Skinnies to help sink down to better traction/denser dirt and wides to float on the snow and not sink in and bury yourself.

But why is this thread in the Audio & Video section?

It will quickly get unnoticed, being in an obscure section.

 

I know in FL lots of people like wide mud tires unless they're like tractor tires or boggers. From what I've read, skinny tires cut through snow to the asphalt.

 

I liked the song, also. What's the song called? For snow and ice, keep your tire pressures the same. You need control, as well as grip. Just a standard winter tire is all you need, along with a steady foot and common sense.

Were you pulling off your hitch ball? If so, I highly recommend you get hitch mounted shackle mount. Much safer than wrapping the end of the strap around your ball. And your camera person was in all the wrong places in some of the footage you posted. Ever seen a strap bust? Sorry bro, I've see some stuff go wrong when pulling out vehicles so to me it's safety first. But like others said, cool of you to help (and show off what the Taco can do).

He should be ok towing. Snatching is where stuff can go wrong. Tacos normally don't have enough power to snap a 30k lb rated tow strap in good shape.

That's assuming the strap is in good shape. I don't like to take any chances. I'm not busting the OP's balls, all I'm saying is to be careful.
