What have you done to your Tacoma today? 1st Gen Edition

Anyone remember the guys and gals talking about Tacoma trucks?

After reading about you cat taking apart you diffy lock, i decided to take mine apart. I got it all apart, inspected it and all looked good. Put in a new O-ring and reassembled.

For some reason I can't get the dash light to stop blinking. Even on the hoist while wiggling the wheels I can't get it to lock in. I can hear the thing cycling when I push the button. I'll have to get the wife to push the button while I'm watching what its doing. Arms aren't long enough to be in the cab as well as under the truck

I'll have to put it back on the hoist and pull the inspection cover to see if the lock bar is hanging up and not giving me a full diffy lock.

 

I had a quick question. When I drive around 50-60 mph my engine light likes to come on. But if I go 70 mph no light. Any ideas why this is happening? Also I have a supercharger with 7th injector kit. Do you think that might have something to do with it?

no, it replaces one out of the four mounting bolts on the winch.

Trailered it for the first time in her 13 year life, gotta take it and the trailer to another town to help a buddy from school and this was the easiest way.

 

Interesting that your getting a CEL but the light isn't staying on. Your not resetting it to get the light to turn off?

Might want to see if there are any stored codes. That will tell you what it is that is happening.

No that's what I think is weird it will just turn off when I drive it like I stole it. Haha and the only codes I get back is O2 sensor and mine are new. So some people at work say it's poll just bad gas. But I use shell haha
