Thought about watching it, then read a bit and saw the filmmakers had an agenda. If you're going to call it a documentary, just lay out all of the evidence, good and bad, and let the viewer make an objective decision. Don't candy coat earlier convictions like he was playing with a cat with friends and it somehow got burned. Dude doused a cat in gas and threw it in a fire. Ok, just put it out there. And if the rape victim who wrongly convicted him refused to be in the documentary because she thinks he's guilty of the second crime, throw that info out there. Let the viewer decide.

She was in the documentary. Youre making an agenda by accepting what others say about it being one sided. That is so in line with the groupthink that led to the false imprisonment of the man. Just watch it and make up your own mind. I dont like that he tortured that cat either. Hes obviously fairly slow.

Well I'm next door in Minnesota and we can't stop talking about it at work, off work, dinner table, water cooler etc... The cops look shady as hell. Avery has 70 IQ and drinks, like his whole family, like a fish. Could he have killed Theresa? If the Sheriff dept wasn't so f***ing crooked, it would be easier to believe. Also this is making a murder season one; what are they going to document for season 2?

I have to laugh, almost everyone I know from Wisconsin wears a Ski Doo or Green Bay Packers jacket during the winter. You must get it for free when you get booked in to jail or something.

We watched the entire series in about a week. After watching and not reading any other articles or evidence, we were convinced he didn't do it and outraged. Then I was still curious so I started googling it and finding left out evidence, different agendas etc. Now I just want to know one way or the other.

Anyone know any good websites/articles that lay out all of the facts/evidence?

I just hope one day soon there is indisputable evidence or a confession (either from Avery or one of the deputies/prosecutors on the other side) that reveals the absolute truth.

If you just watch the documentary you will say there isn't enough evidence to convict. Dig a little deeper into ALL of the evidence against him and you might just change your mind.

    I did.

Guilty or not you have a totally out of control justice system in Wisconsin. Conflict of interest. Presumption of guilty instead of innocent. Motive by the county to want to frame Avery. Very sloppy and incomplete investigative work by the COPS. Pervert DA who had to resign. A form of grooming (look up the definition) of a 70 IQ boy to get a confession. etc. Inadmissible evidence from the defense that would have possibly proven innocent.

After watching this there is no way I would EVER say anything in an interview without an attorney present. I'd spend a night in jail waiting before talking in an interview. I like the defense attorney's comment. "The police aren't concerned about truth, they just want a confession". (or something like that).

There are several sites that list the left out info.:
    - his DNA was found in sweat residue on other parts of the car
    - her phone, pda, and camera were in a burn barrel 20 ft from his door
    - he bought leg irons and cuffs several weeks before her death
    - he told a former prison roommate (the first time) he was going to build a torture chamber when he got out and drew pictures of it
    - the Dassey kid told his mom in a phone interview that Steven molested him
    - he specifically asked for her and once answered the door in a towel
I said it before, but there is a whole other side to this guy that we didn't get to see. We see him as a quiet, fat, dumbass. He is a sick, angry fuck and is right where he belongs. There were some huge missteps in the investigation and trial but in the end the result was correct.

No the result was far from correct. that is exactly why we have a justice system. a proper way to convict or release an innocent party. You do it right and honest if you're the law. you don't fabricate and taint the judicial system yes its not perfect and the reason we have a judicial system is for everyone to have a fair shot at proving their innocence. The law says you're innocent until "PROVEN"guilty not "Assumed" or "Planted" Guilty. he was a marked man regardless if he did it or not. if he did the cops made sure he was guilty and if he didn't the cops made sure he was guilty. The Manitowoc Police shouldn't have been there at all especially the one being deposed who are the ones that found "evidence". I don't think hes 100 percent innocent I don't think hes 100 percent guilty. id rather stay quiet than take a side where I might be wrong. but one thing I do know is that we have a judicial system and we do it by the book or not at all.

I've never laughed that hard at anything else! Absolutely ridiculous fun. Charlie has to eat cat food to get a stomach ache in order to fall asleep. The episode where danny devito climbes out of the couch butt naked, too funny!
