    You know that you can tune your setup to, say, a 1:1 (i.e. an ideal perfect match) and when a BIG TRUCK drives right by you while you TX, your SWR goes WAYYYYY UP, because the signal is reflecting off of the BIG TRUCK... LOL!!!

    That is why it is recommended to tune your setup in a fairly wide open area. I think the recomendation while tuning is:
    1) no "tall structures" within about 35ft (i.e. even your own body is not to be near the antenna)
    2) no high power lines
    3) ALL doors/tail gates shut... even the hood (if open)

    It can get a bit involved. Fortunately, I get a SWR of about 1.5 to 1.7 consistently. Pretty good and typical. So I'm happy with my setup.
