Any after market spare tire cover available?

    The spare tire on the Taco is exposed to the elements - are there any aftermarket covers available or even do-it-yourself tips/tricks to keep them clean?

    I'm thinking about simply wrapping it in a heavy duty plastic bag...

    There's a reason the spare tire does not have a cover. Any cover would have to fit over the bottom of the spare tire as it is mounted under the bed. That would allow water, mud, etc. to get in through the top of the spare and be retained there by the cover on the bottom. Not good!!

    I went to auto parts store and got spare tire cover and put it on mine, I plan on checking on it to make sure its not retaining any water or other stuff inside of it, Had to take the tire completely off, put on the cover, re attach tire to the truck, I like the look of it.

    That's because it is an excellent way to trap moisture all around the spare. I like to keep things moist though and the very thought of getting any of my tires dirty is enough to cause me great internal discomfort, so I actually run spare tire covers on all of my wheels. It's just safer that way:
