    Most likely my issue lol. Also I did drill the bottoms to an extent, still wasn't an easy task, that torch though, that was a clutch thing to have. The holes on my flip bracket were off quite a bit, there's no massaging in the world that would've got those bolts through, but good tips on what it might take and issues that may arise when dealing with this. :thumbsup:

    This, these diff diapers are a waste and kill ground clearance on one of the lowest if not the lowest part of the truck.

    Not a waste imo. Before I got my diaper I cheese grated a rock with my third and it broke the third to housing seal. Leaked oil for a few weeks before I pulled the third and re sealed jt and added fipg for good measure. All been good since then and I don't mind hearing it drag anymore.

    For those who run diff skids, what are the good brands?

    I had an older weld on All Pro but it was more rear protection with nothing under the 3rd

    Thats why I like the diapers. Although clearance is lost it covers more than the weld on ones seem too.

    The bottom of the diff is the strongest part of the whole diff. I have smashed rocks at 50+ mph on the bottom of it and put nothing more than a scratch in it.
    The weak spot is the backside of the diff. The metal is paper thin back there. Those looking to actually fix the weak link and not lose ground clearance should look at RuffStuff's maxi pad skid plate for Toyota diffs.
