All you guys that think the steering wheel vibration at about 2,000 rpm is connected to tires; not so. I switched my Goodyear tires for new Coopers, that were on my last Tacoma, that I plan to sell. There was no change in the vibration. I knew it wasn't tires. The vibration is not like a tire problem. It is more like holding an electric razor in both hands, which are automatically turned off below 2,000 rpm and above about 2,300 rpm.

As I said before, I have hit a dead end with Toyota.

Hope its nothing serious but i think i just exprerienced this vibration not just steering wheel but also floor. Noticed we had about 7" snow this morning so warmed up the tuck and was driving out of my neigborhood, then stopped, put in parking, then engaged 4High. Drove for about 10 min in 4H, then as road was clearing and i was about to get on Highway, whle going about 20mph, i took it off 4H. From that point on i noticed the vibration. Not sure if it was there in 4H. Later i just stopped and put in Parking then in 4H, drove for few fts then put in Parking and then took it off 4H in an attempt to reset whatever i might have done wrong or not. I dont think i noticed vibration yesterday. I did pumped grease into the U-joints last week, each u-joints took about 2-3 pumps. No other changes made to the truck. Hope its just a glitch. Will follow-up later.

Classic tires out of balance from the snow. Clean the snow off the wheels and see if vibration persists.
