I've got a stock 5.3 out of a Tahoe that was rear end wrecked at around 75K.. its a great starting point that can make a ton of power, and if you decide to step up to a LS motor down the road, it would be a straight swap since they are the same platform with all the same mounts and accessories.
same platform that nick isenhouer ran for years in his 1450 truck. about 1200-1500 in mods and you can make a bunch of reliable power.
    $600.00 and its yours
comes with all stock accessories and wiring harness.

fiberglass is what it is and unfortunately its just not ever perfect.. but that being said, I have dealt with just about everyone that makes/sales glass for my customers and my own personal vehicles over the past 12 or so years and I can tell you from my experiences that McNeil has always had some of the nicest fit/quality and best customer service.
I know this statement probably doesn't hold true for everyone that has dealt with anyone and i'm sure someone has their own horror stories of dealing with them or others.. i'm just stating my opinion and dealings with them, and out of everyone I have had the best luck with McNeil.

and just like anything, when you are relying on people or parts to complete builds... give that 2 weeks a little grace haha. im sure you will be happy once you receive them.

    Damn..Id do that.

The way Id do an ls swap is buy a whole wrecked truck/van. You can part out most of the parts and you'll barely end up spending anything.

Just to toss a number into the real world mix. I picked up a LQ9 from LKQ about a year ago for my F150 for $1250. The was complete motor but no harness/ecu. 100% stock with a built 4 speed and 6.0's in the rear axle, for a play truck the smiles were never ending when I last played with it. Granted, it's been collecting dust for a LONG time now though... LOL

Shoot me a message and we'll work something out. For what it's worth I think you'll only be able to get in to Main. I think you'll need a vehicle pass to get in to either A or B and I think access is fairly limited.

We've had a positive relationship with Fiberwerx for years now but if we had to go somewhere else, McNeil is where we'd go.

... I see the same here in El Paso. I think its the same for anywhere that's not Arizona, California, or Nevada.
