The Waiting Game...Who's playing?

Eeek I ordered the same truck only with the JBL a week ago. Guess I'll be prepared to wait. Dealer said I should get confirmation of the build in a week or so.

 

Placed my order 1/17/2016 and waiting for 2016 toyota tacoma sr5, Grey, sr5 appearance package, tow package. Double cab Was told that here in Indianapolis it takes a while.

 

I have been waiting since October 29th. Order not picked up yet...

 

What's your specs? That isn't right unless you ordered a manual. And even that sounds crazy.

 

Just heard from dealer that my SR5 Access 4x4 v6 grey had the build date moved up from Feb 27 to Feb 15. Allocation was accepted sometime in Dec. We shall see how it plays out. Better sooner than later, had to wire up the front molding on my s10 yesterday. The only things that are good are my snow tires and that 2.2-4 banger 167000 and still trying to go. The duct tape doesn't have much rust to hang onto anymore !

 

Ordered my SR5 crew cab Barcelona red w/ black/red interior on 31 Dec (yes, New Year's Eve). Estimated delivery is 18 Feb. This will replace my 2013 access cab. Until then...

 

Found out today from my dealer that although they took my order 4 weeks ago it has simply been sitting on their desk as they can supposedly only order so many vehicles from Toyota at a time. I am still not at the top of the list and will probably need to wait another month until my order gets into Toyota. This seems crazy to me. Anyone every hear of anything like this??? Am I being completely jerked around? Once order gets to Toyota I will have another 8-12 weeks until I see the vehicle.

I have no interest in having to haggle with another dealer, trade in appraisal, etc. Either I go through the whole routine again or just wait it out. I will go see another dealer tomorrow and see how easy they make this.

 

Well I went to the dealer today to sign the paper work and the truck got delivered while I was there so they did the PDI and I drove her home. Beautiful truck and right now I couldn't be happier.
I'll try and post pics tomorrow.
It looks the same as every quicksand trd off road double cab but I'll post anyway...!!!

 

TRD OR DC LB (7568) with tow & tech w/JBL. 7568s are virtually nonexistent in California right now.

 

I received my weekly email from dealer today.

I was told it hit the system this weekend. Still in process and not begun construction yet ,but it is slated to be built by Toyota for our order. No VIN was provided ,just a dealer confirmation number. This number verifies the authorized dealership will take possession of the vehicle once it is built. Fingers crossed next week will provide a vin #.

 

Ordered sometime in late December with a build date of January 7th. Was at the dealer last week, but flying Friday to Phoenix from San Diego to pick it up and drive home.

 

Wow that was fast. Gives us hope for a speedy build

 

I ordered mine here in Texas on Nov19 non JBL my build date is the last week of March!

 

Will do! (Take delivery tomorrow morning!)

What I ordered:

Black 4x4 DC Short Bed TRD Off-Road, Premium & Tech w/JBL, Tonneau Cover, Tow Package, Carpet Floor Mats and Sill Protector, Bed Mat, D Rings, Mudflaps and the TRD drop in filter.

 

Ordered on 11/11, build date is supposed to be 2/2. Black TRD Sport, DCSB 4X4, MT with tech and tow. In St. Louis area, and the difficult part was getting the manual. My opinion is, my money is valuable. I'm being patient and getting exactly what I want. Downsizing from a Ram 1500 because I just don't need a full size. Previous ZR2 and Jeep owner. Going for the Tacoma because of reputation. Enjoy the ride, y'all.

 

Today is the day my truck is supposed to arrive!

Ordered Jan. 4th, TRDOR 4x4 DCSB, Inferno, 6speed manual. Talked to my sales manager this morning and he said allocation change wasn't accepted and would have to be a special order. He guessed end of April/first of May time frame. Arrgg!!
