Got me wondering if I should do the same...we go to the beach a lot and the roads on Pawley's Island flood from the salt marsh every time it rains.

It's personal preference. It wouldn't hurt. I've decided to do it on a 6 month cycle. It's just a thin layer of protection. I used gloves and detail applicator. I like the T-9.

First oil change and tire rotation at 6 months owned. Opted to pay the extra for Mobil 1 since it has done so well on the wife's grocery getter.

Just got around to posting this now. Did it not this past weekend, but the weekend before. Installed my BPF skid plate. I have a bull bar on it now, so because I wanted to keep it on, for the time being, my buddy and I had to do some "modification" to it. Basically had to cut into the tube at the bottom to allow the skid plate to fit. We're no experts at this, but whatever, it fits. Choppy cutting skills. Looks like it's touching/rubbing, but it's not. The bull bar is still sturdy and not bending or shaking or anything like that, due to us cutting into it. Maybe one day I'll take it off, when I coat the skid plate with a better liner than the powder coating it came with.

    20160126_130619.jpg 20160126_130632.jpg

Also put on the tow hook that it came with, since I bought the skid plate when they were doing the discount/deal for it. Now just have to buy the shackle to clip on there.

    20160126_130718.jpg

And finally, a crappy pic of it mounted on, from underneath. Yeah, I know, my photography skills leave a lot to be desired, but I sure as hell wasn't going to lay down on the salted asphalt (due to the snow storm), on my lunch break at work!

    20160126_130820.jpg

Let the :crapstorm: begin for having a bull bar on, and cutting into it.

Nice truck Jim! But if you're on the Gulf you might wanna get a little more aggressive with the protection. I watched an old Volvo from the 80's disintegrate in about 5 years on Galveston's west end. I think the swedes must've dipped them in tar at the factory as heavy as that car was under coated. That heavy salt air still got it, quick! Good luck!

Hmmm, I have the same wheels but I am running the center caps. I might have to remove them when I rotate my tires in a couple weeks.
