One more this is the one I want to do. Locker anytime mod also called grey wire mod.
Be able to lock the locker in two high may not have to go to 4X4 to get out of some mud hole, and so on.

Ive got a iphone 6+ and use a sprigen case and it works just fine.

 

It's just a safety feature honestly. If you're above 25 mph you can put the Tacoma in reverse (automatic only) while moving. The truck goes into neutral, as a safety precaution, and the camera with your reverse lights come on. Great feature if you have someone riding your bumper.

 

The cases that I have seen in my area just don't stand up for longevity for my phone how much I drop my phone, had to get a incipio case for that.

Please test this and take a video so we can trust your word.

 

It works on any new(er) Toyota with an electronically controlled transmission. Easy way other than youtube to post videos to here? I've got a Tacoma on the lot and I'm more than happy to take a video.

 

I bought the charging case for my 5s - it is Great!

 

I may or may not get a Qi charging case. It all depends. I rarely need to ever charge my phone while on the move.

 

Turn them off when towing something wide that sticks out past the bed...then the lights/warning doesn't keep beeping at you.

 

Have to disagree, I love mine! works great. Guess we all have different opinions, that's why we all get to give our 2 cents worth on this site.

 

agreed. Now lets all pray that apple will put Qi wireless charging into their next iPhone 7 !...then, I can ditch the special case to allow charging on this iPhone 6.

 

my iPhone 6 works great...you just need to get a special case that allows wireless charging/Qi for your iPhone 6. Mine looks like this:
about 24 dollars.

 

While we are on the subject, Can anyone say from experience if the iPhone 6S with an Otterbox Defender Case will charge in the 16' Tacoma?

 

So if I'm seeing it right the wireless charging kit at the bottom of this thread in "products discussed in this thread" yellow part goes on the Ihone 6 case I already have and makes it work with QI? I have the life proof case.

 

nope. 1. Otterbox does not make an charging case for apple iPhones, 2. thicker cases prevent the Qi form working.

tried those. They stick to the back of your phone (between case and phone). Now, they do work with the house charging Qi pads...but not good with the Tacoma Qi charging pad. The thicker the case, the more it will not work. If I took the case off, then it worked with the truck charging Qi pad...but that was a pain (just well use the cord/usb). Anyway, that's my experience. However, the charging cases do work very well...so I think you would have better luck.

 

with my Otter Box Defender I tried it between the phone and case, and between the case and the rubber cover. the latter worked much better on the OEM charger, allowed for easier cleaning and will surely do the same on the Toyota charger. in the first position it worked fine and looked all nice and shit but opening the case was a drag. You might want to order a 2nd charger for travel/work/etc though. the plug doesn't look like it wants to be removed often without breaking.

 

Agreed, (edit: a bit too gimmicky ).... not to mention when most everyone is only into their 4th year of payments, where do you suppose cell phone technology will be ? Hell, even one of my 3 year old phones won't stream music.
