They fixed the leak, what more are they responsible for? At this point Toyota is responsible. They inspected the truck and concluded it was a fault with the truck itself.

I personally would not want the original truck back after having water get in there, honestly no telling what future issues can come from that. Maybe they can find a still new 2015 out there for you instead of a 2016.

We tried but couldn't find one. I found a few on auto trader but they were either already sold or wouldn't trade them(perhaps had a possible buyer on the hook). I have them run the search every time I go in and I look at the computer screen.

I did my own search and then printed out the trucks and took it in to my Dealer, it did take a few weeks before another Dealer was willing to give up what I wanted though.

I might as well give a follow up on what got finalized. They gave the truck back to me and it leaked again within a few days so I took it back in and they "fixed" it again. At that point I was certain that I was not going to keep the truck. I was tired of dealing with the drive back to the dealer. They gave me a 2016 TRD Offroad in MGM to drive for a few days to see how I liked the truck. I have to admit I began to love the truck. The transmission was smooth on this one, I read that the engine will loosen up and run better with a few miles put on the truck (averaging 22.5 MPG I'm talking about power), I started to like the new interior, the front end began to grow on me, and I'm liking some of the new additions on the truck even the simple things like how the 3rd brake light has white LED's that light the entire bed. The ECT Power button makes a huge difference in the performance of the truck. Lets me know that the truck does have the power if I need it. Blah, Blah, Blah......

Anyways so we settled at $1700 difference, the truck came with a few hundred dollars in dealer add ons, they threw in a couple free details for whenever I want to have the truck cleaned up, and got a 3k extended warranty for $1200 that covers: the truck bumper to bumper, 24hr roadside assistance, paintless dent removal, windshield repair, etc for 5yr-100k . I have the ability to cancel the warranty if I want so figured what the hell go ahead and give it to me for now. I can also cancel further down the road and get my return prorated back to me. I am sure some will say I should have gotten it cheaper, but I don't care I am happy with it and that's all that matters.

So I threw the Bakflip G2 and Digital Fit WeatherTech mats on Craigslist and I was able to send the console vault back for a 2016 model. I still have my Icon stage 2 sitting at the house that I am going to put on and I am waiting to see something happen with that Total Chaos UCA group buy. I have been leaning towards the FN TRD black wheels in 17x8 and have been considering a 275/70 tire. I have the Duratracs on my XJ Cherokee and have been happy with them.

Haha, no I figured I better not push my luck with this one. If I do in the future I'll be sure to do it myself!

Or why it's necessary for the holes in the roof for the rack to go through into the cab.

    The better coast
3k warranty is pretty expensive. There is an independent guy on here who sells Toyota warranties for much less than that.

Let me see if I can find his contact info. It's just a warranty though, I don't Remer anyone mentioning dent less repair or RSA.

I think he was saying he paid $1200 for a $3000 Warranty if I read it correctly.

If I remember my Tacomaworld history correctly there was a Jerry Johnson and a Troy Dietrich. Both sold warranties over the internet much cheaper than our local dealers were willing or able to sell them. Cheap enough that they were ALMOST worth buying. But the local dealers revolted and demanded that those two not be allowed to sell them to just anyone because our local scumbag dealer F&I guys weren't getting paid. So Toyota agreed that life wasnt fair for our poor scumbag F&I guys and put a stop to the internet shenanigans of Johnson and Dietrich. One dropped out of the real Toyota warranty internet business and started selling aftermarket piece of financial crap warranties. The other one still sells real Toyota factory warranties but you (or any live human being you met on TacoWorld or Tinder) needs appear in his office to get the ALMOST worth paying for deal.
