Oh yeah. I'm glad someone thinks the same haha. I was planning on getting the RC lift and later down the road buying newer better shocks. Are you gonna keep the spacers up front with new shocks or buy shocks long enough you won't need spacers anymore? I was thinking about doing that but don't know if it'll mess with the lift

That's awesome I know a lot of people complain about the angle of their axles.. What kept the angles right? The drop bracket part or new control arms or what? I've never lifted anything other than my Chevy and it's suspension is nothing like a toyotas haha. That's why I have so much questions

long story short the drop bracket takes care of all that by readjusting the angle to be close to factory if not the same.

    6" rough country lift

6" rough country lift done this year. 33" Mickey Thompson Deecan 38s. Rear leaf springs are just about straight on the blocks and trucks slightly angled back. Looking for 6" leaf springs found a lot of info on the custom Alcans mostly good reviews, anyone have experience with them or other makes? Looking for a smoother ride gonna start with the rear.

Looks great!! Are the tires 33 x 10.5's? 17 inch wheel? I've got 35 x 12 x 20's on mine and its definitely underpowered even with the 6 speed. You really don't notice it driving around the city. Once you get it anywhere with even the slightest elevation its a complete dog. I'm planning on switching to some 33's. I'll have some nice Toyo's for sale once I buy the new set.

Yes uncle d 33x10.5 r16. It's just a four cylinder and I definately have lack of power in 4th and 5th gear on hills at higher speeds don't do much city driving I'm from New Hampshire it's not very flat here but I mostly travel back roads so I manage pretty good. I will probably re gear before jumping to 35's.

I just installed this kit on my 2015 Double Cab 4x4. Did you have to reinstall the alignment cam bolts upside down? I had too as they wouldn't fit the stock way. Now during the alignment process it was put back into spec except for the right front camber -0.3 degrees and the cam bolt is at full adjustment.

Hey Grey.....Unfortunately, I bought the truck with the lift already installed. If you send me a picture I could see if it matches up with mine. I'm impressed you did it yourself. I've heard its a little difficult to do on your own. What do you think of it so far? Post a pic if you get a chance. I'm planning some front coil overs and a new custom Alcan rear leaf here in the next month or two. Considering scaling back to 33x10.5x17's too. Still going back and forth on that though.

Meant to tell you....I've exchanged a few emails with Bill from Alcan. His prices seem great and his customer service really great. I plan on going with an Alcan rear set up as well. Are you doing any coil overs in the front to remove the block? Do you have a side photo of your truck? I'm considering the same size tire set up that you have but wanted to see a different angle. Front angle looks awesome!!

Thanks for the quick reply Uncle. Yes it was very time consuming it took me and a buddy roughly 12 hours to install in his driveway we have done at least a dozen lifts on varying vehicles. If I were to do another it would go much faster. I like the lift its just what I was looking for, rides a tad high in the front. I'm having a little difficulty posting pics as my computer skills are not as good as my lift install skills. I'd love to put new rear springs but that will wait as my next purchase is going to be an ARB front bumper and winch combo.

On a side note I'd like to add that these tries are very nice riding. I was a tried and true BFG All Terrain K/O fan and always liked the way they rode. Let me tell you I'm sold on the Terra Grapplers for good now. In all my years of dealing with oversized off-road tires I have never in my life seen tire/rim combo's that needed little or no weight during balancing. Two of the four needed 0 weight, one needed less than two oz's and one did take a bit close to 7 oz's. Thought the last was strange compared to the rest but it does ride smooth.

Ya man....I had some Terra Grapplers on an Excursion that I had. Awesome tires for sure. I currently have Toyo's on my taco....they seem to grab everything in the road. I think that's fairly common for these larger tires.

It will bend, cheap metal from China. Go with 3", trim, add 35s, regear, wheel the shit out of it. This is mine.
