It's gonna be a LONG while for me as well. Truck will probably die before I ever achieve turning it into that.

I'll probably bring my hammock as well, but I'll definitely try to get my hands on a tent if I can

Same thing happened to mine. Except this dumbass hit the tree with the bed. And then hit it again with the cab about 30 seconds later. I think he needs to be fired from off-road driving.

Eh, once the wife finishes school our income will double. So that'll be nice. Plus I'm hoping to get a better paying job here in a few more years.

Ugh, kids. They ruin everything... Haha

I hope not to have any kids for at least 7 more years.

Haha they're pretty awesome too though. My daughter is a lot of fun.
But they do cost a lot!

    Changed my DisplayOff image ---Twice!!
:popcorn:I'm new on this forum (relatively, but I noticed that I've been upgraded to "well known member"!!). I'm not going to even attempt this trip given the requirements on the first page. I just got my first yota ever Jan 2 and have zero mods other than the picture I put on the radio of us at the Royals winning game 1 of the WS. I plan on changing that, but slowly and over time. I'm looking forward to following this thread though and I hope you guys post a TON of pics from this trip.

I've been going to this general area for almost 20 years driving down from Decatur, IL and Kansas City, MO. We actually camp over on Beaver Lake at least once, but usually twice or more every year. I used to be big into wakeboarding and Beaver lake is a best kept secret for boating. You don't hardly see any boats on that lake even on holiday weekend!!
I also go down to that area to ride my Harley and meet up with some locals I know down there.

I was curious to some of the comments about Harrison, AR as that's the Wal-mart we go to if we need to pick something up. You'd think that going down there for 20 years I'd know something, but you'd be wrong. I did the search and was surprised as I never picked that up in my time down there. Kind of pathetic if you ask me, but like I said we spend most of our time riding, boating kayaking over at the lake and make a jaunt into town of Eureka Springs and Harrison every once in a while.

Anyway, I'll let you guys get back to planning. I'll just follow along and enjoy the banter, ride, and pics!!

I've got an Eno Double. Nice Hammock. That tent thing is pretty cool! I've never seen walls on an awning like that before

I used to have one with a bug net on it. It died a catastrophic death. I'll go with out the bug nets from now on.

Haha yeah, the wife wanted one really bad because she went camping with some people that used them. She's used it once in the past 2 years...

I used my Eno all the time before I broke my knee. Made a perfect napping spot in the trees in the fall

We'll be along a river for most of the first section. Has mostly bass with some catfish and perch.

Will just depend on the water levels when we go really.

If you are offering and I dont have have a roof rack/basket by the trip I may take you up on this. I am not real concerned about needing fuel for mine since the tank is 23 gallons and the range is MUCH higher than my Tacoma was.
