    Having left tail light issues, it works fine until i press the brakes, When I turn the headlights on, the tail lights glow normally except the left ones LEDs in the circle are slightly dimmer. If I step on the brakes with the headlights off, all three brake lights illuminate properly. It's only when the headlights are on and I hit the brakes -- the drivers side tail light goes completely out, while the third and passenger side brake lights work normally. When I release the brake, the tail light turns on again. The turn signal and reverse lights work fine. Anyone know what the problem could be? These things are less than a year old

    Swap back in the original OEM tail light. Test. If there is no issue then that eliminates the OEM wiring harness. Which means it's your Depo tail lights themselves. In that case I would return as defective from the seller/factory. If there is an issue with the OEM tail light then take it to the dealership for warranty work.

    I sell parts at an off road shop here that specialized in Toyotas, born and raised here. We've got a lot of military community as well. Several of the members here are Military. You won't regret Alaska, I never have at least. Although I am jealous of the snow switching from us to the east coast these past few years. There's hardly any mountains in New York, why should they have all the snow!

    Born and raised. My ol' man was born up here in '55 when my grandfather moved back after serving in the Aleutian Islands during WWII. I attended college in the lower 48 and decided it wasn't for me. I lucked into a job in the Telecommunications industry during college as a summer intern. Dropped out of college and ended up turning that into a successful career. I work all over the state, but primarily in industrial oil field construction (Prudhoe Bay).

    I recommend you come up and visit before any major moves. I love living here, but it can have a kind of island feel to it for new people (only 1 road North, and 1 South). I know plenty of transplants that also experience problems with our short winter, and long summer days. Our economy is also slowing down significantly as it's based around the oil/gas industry and tourism and these oil prices are killing it.
