When your Toyota is fixed trade it for the F-150. Problem solved and we won't have to read your b.s.

I notice the wind noise, the sound at around 2300rpm, the gear searching....but a truck is a truck. I don't mind the noise because it's not a Lexus. I didn't pay 60k+. I am very happy with mine, and I think there will be a transmission update(from what I've read)... Good purchase!

My field technical specialist did hint to me that a new recalibration for the transmission is in the works

Going to visit dealer today to get some paperwork from the truck. One service writer said it would be ready every day of the week last week. Another called Friday saying they don't know when they can get the parts....

Will try to snap a few pictures if possible and if they let me back into the shop.

P.S.: I usually trash talk Fords (Aka Found On Road Dead). It does have serious power and excellent handing but has many "fails" in other areas that aren't so critical. Ultimately I should have kept my Xterra, rode it much harder and it never broke, never needed a tow and got better mileage...

We've heard that a few times, I'm wondering if it's actually true, though. I'm assuming you/he meant a firmware update?

    Are you a tech?

And no, I meant a new calibration update. (Calibration = software).

I think the car was perhaps originally marketed towards females thus giving it the image of being a girl car, but honestly it's no more girly than say an MG. Who doesn't like a convertible?

No, sorry, by "we" I meant us TW members as that was mentioned a few times in other threads. I do hope the tech is right, I feel the transmission programming could use some work.

Mine are not working either.. Dealer checked two on the lot and they were not working either without the lights on. Told me they didn't come on during the day anymore. Can someone confirm this for everyone?

That is what I was told too. We also checked a new truck on the lot. I hope there is a software update that will change it.

yup, we have the same issue: My Toyota dealer called factory and they now have a fix...new gears are getting put in the differential. It seems certain models had diff gears with improper tolerances, so these new gears are the fix. I'll let you know more how it turns out after they have finished.

Do you know if it was something with "early" production units that got fixed, or are we all potentially screwed? What were the warning signs before it granaded?

I picked up my new DCLBTRDSPORT4X4 last night!! (Been waiting since 10/17/15) Tonight I go out to play with the stereo/tech settings. Well we've had a slow drizzle this whole evening and I'm in there messing around, looking at how the back seats fold and low and behold there's water dripping in down the back right seat!! I think whomever installed the roof rack might have screwed up the back window seal... Or put a freaking hole in my roof! So far I'm feeling pretty let down.

    Front tire deflated rapidly.

    ....

Oh wait, that was my fault, I hit a large rock at 60mph.
