I just like to drive. Hate that guy who does 55 in a 65. I usually do 5-10 over limit. I don't drive like an asshole, and hate people who do. I hate seeing congestion, when there shouldn't be. I like to get around and ahead of that and just cruise. just because I have a bit of a heavy foot doesn't mean I'm driving reckless

My opinion is that if you are driving at 70 mph in the snow, as previously indicated, you are being an asshole driver (to use your terms). My guess is that you are the guy weaving in and out of traffic trying to get ahead to "just cruise", and are probably part of the reason there is congestion on that road, causing other people to slow down when you wedge yourself in from of them. At some point you'll learn your lesson about why driving at 70 in the snow is a bad idea, and then you will be the cause of congestion while the crews clean what's left of your truck off of the road. Hopefully you'll survive.

But untrue. I'll pass someone but not weaving through traffic erratically. To me there is a difference in driving a bit fast but in a safe mannor and driving recklessly. I think of it like getting around that semi that driving a bit slow or looks like he has a unsafe load, or getting around the metro bus because you know it's gonna have a stop soon and your gonna get stuck. Doesn't mean I'm cutting people off doing it. To each his own I guess.

you must watching way too many fast and furios movies.. someday you will get a hard lesson... if you walk alive from a wreck.. I had seen too many dickheads and assholes either killed or live in a wheelchair afterwards.. I did my share to scraping bodies off the roads as a highway crew and fire dept.
having common sense comes to speeding.. going 70 in 65 zone is ok only 5 mph diff is not much or 65in 55 zone but comes nasty weather snow, sleet or slick roads best to go slow. comes to 4x4 .. still cant go fast no matter what.. even in mud... think of the rabbit and the slow poke turtle.. the slow poke will get ahead before the rabbit.. an old saying...

    enough to go over stuff
If your driving 55mph. Then you probably don't need the extra traction 4x4 gives. Cuz you wont be able to stop....

Lol. Yep. This went from the op having snow in his wheels to how fast you shouldn't be driving in the snow pretty quick.

Also, I drove to work at 110km/h in 4hi in a snowstorm last week. Slowed down while passing one car, but other than that it was just open 4 lane highway. Traffic is a big factor when discussing how fast you should be driving in the snow.
