BF Goodrich TA KO2s or Nitto Terra Grappler G2s?

Most of my offroad stuff will be driving across red clay mud in a cornfield, crossing creeks rocky creek beds, driving up wet leaf cover rocky hills, dry and wet hay fields, slippery mud areas where cows have been, and woods

Then you should really really consider the duratracs. I got close to 45 000 km's off the first set and when I upgraded I still had 2/3rds tread left. Not loud at all. Great all around tire.

Have those on some of our f350's for the oilfield and they are good on ice but dont do very good offroad in the fields

There is 0 road noise, in fact they may be more quiet than the stock TRD Off-Road tires.

Just got Bilstien 5100s set at 1.75inch in the front and also got the 5100s in the rear with a 1.5inch toytec add a leaf.

265/75/R16 tires, I didn't want to deal with the rubbing issues and didn't want to loose too much MPGs considering I commute a lot so just went one size up. So far I'm averaging 18-19mpg with the heavier tires. I can live with that.

Wheels are 16x8 0mm +offset Method NVs.

Glad I came across this thread, Great info on these tires, great to know. I ordered a set of 285/70/17 BFG TA KO2's, and a Rancho 2.5 lift. Great to know they will be worth the $ spent on them

I just went from first gen terra grapplers with about 10k miles on them to KO2s last week. The KO2s are silent compared to the Nittos.

How much off-road can a 20" wheel get into???

I really really wanted the new BFG takos but they are load range E and very heavy. I ended up with BFG rugged terrains (not trails) form sams club. Load range C and 11 pounds lighter than the takos and an excellent deal at sams.

The tire is pretty good, not as aggressive as the takos but happy my MPG isn't trashed by the tires.

Just bought BFG AT KO2's....best looking tire out there...very quiet on hiways, makes handling more securely....lost 1-2 mpg's due to weight....handle very well in rain..SO much better then original Rugged Trails that came from factory(got over 51,000 miles from them!)....really like httuner's Method Wheels...so bad-ass!

I have a set of bfg ko's and love em. Ive been real happy with the lack of wear, as well as the on and off road traction. That being said, a good boring AT tire is the michelin ltx ms2. they have very strong reviews... take a peek

Obviously people haven't wheeled that much but I still have a 6.5" sidewall which is just a 1/4 inch less then stock size. But.... i have options of much bigger tires down the road. For me... I can go just about everywhere I can think of with my 20" rim as people running their 16" rims. I loose 2 inches of sidewall.... not that much in the real world. And my tires are both cheaper and lighter.
