Hmmm, that's not what Jake told me when I bought it, but then again, now that I'm home, the plastidip came out great with the detail. I was worried it wouldn't hold up for some reason. I'm a skeptic. And that's the second time you've known more about this truck than I do! haha

There might be a primer coat on it I can't remember exactly but the reason it was dipped was because he didn't want to pay to color match it professionally .

And ya spent many nights working on that truck with Jake to fix what broke

Makes sense. Haha, fix what broke?
Although, what's the point of long travel if you're not gonna use it. Just ask the Michelin Tires rep that I gave a ride to in Baja!
I am enjoying the 16 year old kids emailing me about the truck.
    Them: "Have you jumped it?"
    Me: "obviously...."
    Then: "Is the frame bent?"
Me: "No, but I can guarantee you'll try..."
    :D
Just remember that if it breaks, it's an opportunity to make it mo betta :bananadance:

Those of you who know more than me about CB stuff, does it matter how long the antenna is or is it just height off the ground that gets better reception?

For comparison. Would a 2ft antenna in the middle of my roof get better reception than a 4ft on my hood since it is still higher? or does length affect it?

not sure, I remember reading something about CB and ground plane a while ago.. let me see if i can pull up the article somewhere.
P.s. if youre trying to get a longer antenna i'll trade you a new 5' firestik for your 4'

Saw this guy twice today in Goleta around lunch time. Pretty sure there were 2-3 lights on some sort of light bar in the front as well. Anybody here?

has anyone removed the weather stripping on the roof, or know how to do it? I vaguely remember reading somewhere that you need to start from the rear of the vehicle, but that's about all I remember. And I cant seem to find the thread

I did it on my access cab. Yes, pull up from the rear. It snaps down. At least that worked for me.

Thanks man, I'll give it a try. Do you know if the channel on the roof is the say width the entirety or the roof?

Pretty sure it is. I took mine off to install my roof rack.

I figured it is, but I just wanted to see if anyone knew for sure so I don't have to take the whole thing off just to take a few measurements.

Don't know 100% but it would make sense to be all one width.
