I usually just toss an inexpensive carry piece into the glove box, but the flat Taco glove box kinda sucks for it and I dig around in the center console too much for that to be safe. Anyone have any good ideas on concealed 3rd Gen Taco stowage?

(Troll disclaimer: Yes, I am lawfully permitted to carry concealed and am very familiar with the carry laws of my state and the states into which I carry)

As I've stated about 100 times... why not keep it on your person? I manage a full size M&P OWB....

Do you drive an automatic? Tuck it in your left sock. :crapstorm: Seriously though, I keep mine in a holster like mentioned above and locked someplace when I'm out.:locked:

Yeah but are you also a 'cell phone clipped to the belt' guy?

JK. I love inside the belt holsters and can get by with a S&W5946 (9mm X 16 rds) in shorts and a t-shirt with no visible sign.

I agree if you're going to carry one, carry it and control it. I don't like them being left in vehicles.

Cell phone goes in the pocket. Belt is for weapons. Gun, mag, knife.

I carry with the same setup under a tshirt. Is it visible to someone who knows what to look for? Yes. If I'm going to concealment I carry the same gun in a different belt setup IWB.

I'm in and out of courthouses, hospitals, and other buildings where carry is prohibited. I also travel through very rural areas. When possible, something is on my hip. The rest of the time, concealed and accessible vehicle carry is a must.

I find it often difficult to access a 4:00 IWB or OWB rig quickly when belted in no matter the type of clothing or amount of layers I'm (not) wearing. Currently experimenting with a under the column rig which is very easy to access from my position as driver yet well concealed from anyone else and meets my state open and concealed carry laws.

It's basically this, clipped under the column. Need to find something that supports the weight better, is slightly more secure and doesn't sag as badly. I have it configured for right hand draw and thumb release. Very smooth and easy to place in my IWB rig when exiting.

Thanx! I dig this setup. Looks like it may solve my issue. https://www.tacomaworld.com/out/?url=http://www.nrastore.com/nra-steer-clear-vehicle-holster-mount
In Texas, at least locally, they seem to prefer it not being on your person while driving. Not sure if this would make them less comfortable but my personal accessibility trumps almost everything. Roll down the window, shut off the vehicle and place your hands on top of the wheel in clear sight then do not move. I'm not against allowing them to remove my weapon during a traffic stop if that's what they want, or preferably exit and lock the vehicle leaving it behind. I've been stopped twice, once on my way to the airport when I wasn't carrying and another time with it in my IWB rig. Was asked to show him the weapon, which I wasn't comfortable doing, so I was asked to exit and allow him to lift my shirt and inspect it which I did. I found that if you're cooperative and respectful things tend to go smoothly.

Never heard of any situation where someone found a use for carrying a gun with them in their vehicle. The vast majority of drivers don't carry guns and they get by just fine.

I have 2 firearms in my vehicle, AR pistol and M&P full-size with light, I spend a lot of time out in the boonies with wild hogs being a threat and I've had to deal with trespassers multiple times, I'm not gonna take a chance.

You illustrate my point perfectly. People who carry guns with them want to believe there is a threat when in reality in almost every instance there is no threat. I've been chased by javalina and run into illegal border crossers in BFE. Survived both without incident.
