Questions for you. So the wiring for the door speakers are ran through the tweeters. If I want to splice into the wiring to replace the stock tweeters with another set how does this get wired in? What wires go to the crossover and what wires get spliced/ran to the door and tweeters? Hopefully this makes sense...

Yeah Michael, your makin sense to me...
Once you get the tweeter out you will see both sets of wires on the connector:

The pinks with stripes come from the "source", headunit... The other two are the positive and negative down to the, "so-called", midrange in the door...

The blue is the negative, along with the pink with black stripe.

BTW: The stock "crossover" is soldered onto the back of the tweeter. Its not a seperate module like the new kickers...

Thanks. My component set came with a crossover but I didn't know what wires to run to the crossover and which wires ran down to the door speakers.

Not to highjack, but check your glove box shelving. Others have had that rattle.

Not sure. Just remember seeing it more than once. I would think double-sided tape or something would do it, or even just putting something on the shelf.

    Ok - Last question (hopefully)

Where did you mount the crossover and how did you mount it?

Any chance you've taken the headliner down? If you have I would greatly appreciate a picture just above the driver side door. I need to put a grab handle there and i'd love to know what it looks like so I know what i'm up against.... Thank You!

Wow that almost looks custom made/fit. Looking at pioneers website it looks like they have other options as well. I wonder if this 12 would fit.

Is that Pioneer going to sound similar to a JL 10TW3? I was thinking about building a box for the JL and just removing those little cubbies (don't want to cut them up ...). I've heard the JL sounds amazing though, but I really haven't heard it myself. Other JL subs I've always been impressed with though.

150 cash, theyve gotta mountain of em.
    It sounds good.

I have it hooked up to a 4 channel amp sharing one of the channels. Front speakers driven by the first two, and the sub on the other channel, bridged.
But now Im now gonna go get a mono amp for it tommorrow...

    Pioneer model # UD-SW100T

Pioneers msrp is waaaaaay off BTW. The price they have listed for the sub is more than I paid for the package!
