Thanks for all the input! I may give these Amazon traction boards a shot. I think I am going to do a set of those and a Plano rifle case mounted to the front rack on my truck. I really need a permanent place to put recovery gear, tools, etc. for those of you who have a similar set up on the front rack do you find that it creates a lot of wind noise or eats up gas mileage (which I guess isn't a huge deal if you need it which I guess isn't a huge deal if you need it)? If you could do it again would you do anything different?@zscott @Chux @geekhouse23

My rack actually seems quieter when it is loaded. I think having the wind go over a smooth surface like a plano case vs. the crossbars and the voids between them is a less resistant path. The key is to make sure that everything you put is low profile so that there isn't a big wall of items at the front of the rack for the wind to hit.

The Plano case is awesome. You can get them at academy for cheap. I have the Plano case and a 1750 CI pelican.

I don't take my boxes on and off so whatever wind noise is created I have gotten use to, and for gas mileage like you said if you need the boxes then it is what it is. Only thing I may have done different is save my money from the Pelican cases (both sets of tan and black) and built a drawer system in the bed. That's with my mindset and setup wants now. Future RTT will be on the cabrac.

Switched out the 2015 cupholders for the divider that was in the earlier 2nd gen Tacoma's. I am super fired up about this! Sometimes it's all about the little things in life…

Less cup holder. More off-road trailer.

Awesome build, I loved your old one too. It's awesome to see some of the ideas I've had for mine being implemented on others and the opportunity to learn from great builds like this one. Also your photog buddy works for a cool company with some really solid guys, I've had the pleasure of meeting and training under some of them. :bananadance::bananadance:
