I put mine on my roof rack in the back, so far it works good, just cant go into low structures without removing it first.

Better pay and possibly higher cost of living, but closer to the mountains and milder weather.

I'll try my hardest to come. Its really hard for me to pass up a good time. :)

Well if I can't figure out this wiring issue by tomorrow or the weekend....my drag link rebuild kit just got delivered, so I'll at least be able to rebuild that and get rid of all my steering wheel play

Yup, they are. I figured out that where the headlight switch wire comes from is part of a terminal bus. So that explains why it's a constant hot wire since there is a bridged wire going to that bus that comes from the power wire that goes into the fuse box.

Still have no idea how to hook the relay up....I know at least the fuse is a complete circuit now. Just need to figure out how to get the relay to work because I can get the lights to work without the relay....but not with it....

So I just came up with this, instead of trying to deal with 2 constant hot wires...just throw the relay after the fuse instead of the factory before it...although I have no idea if that is the correct thought process on how this works....but this to knowledge is the only way I am able to hook it up and everything SHOULD work. Any input?

I found a diagram on wiring the headlights for the 1980 pickup. The only thing that has me confused is another box that Toyota shows on the diagram but is not labeled what it is.

I read the column should NOT have constant power, that it definitely needs to go thru a relay.
I think the column is a switching ground not hot.

Well, that's straight out of the Factory Service Manual lol. But according to the fsm, constant power does go to the switch, which is why the drawing I came up with makes the most sense....well...to me at least lol
