I might be but my truck may still be in my garage.

 

Get a 10k. It makes no sense to get anything bigger for numerous reasons ...... 1. It's a bigger winch dimensions wise and may not fit in any bumper made for our truck. 2. The bigger the winch, the more amps it pulls, the more strain it puts on you electrical system. 3. The initial cost is more, the maintenance/ replacement parts cost is more and the long term cost may be more once you start replacing your batteries, alternator, wires, etc ...... 4. Most electrical motors work in similar ways. Put a constant too much load on them, they wear out fast. Put a constant undersized load on them, they never fully break in and eventually will never perform up to their initial ability if put in a situation requiring it.

This isn't just true for electrical motors. Have you ever heard that its actually not good for a car engine to never be revved high? Think about it. Take an engine with a red line of 6500 rpms. Now from the time that engine is assembled, for 100,000 miles it never sees past 3k. What do you think will happen when you decide you want to start drag racing it and redlining every gear? I don't know the answer to that question but my guess is the engine will be very confused. Haha

 

Looks good. What switch do you have for the hood? If I were doing it, I would use a switch similar to one you find on your refrigerator door

 

I've always used these for hood pins. Ridiculously easy to set up, cheap, and reliable.

 

Yeah I had something similar to this. I probably could've gotten it to fit but I kinda wanted to do the rocker switch anyways.

 

About to send in an application to Malibu boats for an internship position in Loudon TN where I'd be in charge of buying all the products and materials to build the boats as well as inventory and other day to day tasks. Hopefully I at least get an interview! Lol

Possibly, but also sounds like a gateway to a good job. And like I'll possibly get to spend some time on some nice ass boats.

 

I've heard that they are a great comapny to work for. My soon to be in-laws lives next to one of the managers in Farragut and they told us that Malibu will let some of employees take home some of the boats on certain holidays.
