Hmm good to know. I bought the camper shell for $300 and I have done about $200 in repairs already with an additional $100 in parts and $200-300 it seems in bedliner spraying. Kinda have blown my budget I wanted for this project, but I think it'll look pretty sweet in the end.

Not sure when I'll have the money saved up after all the $$$$$ I just dropped on suspension and tires but it will be that @Pelfreybilt bumper for sure. No hoops!

Its light! I have a pelfrey single hoop aluminum and its maybe 60 pounds. But down side is its easier to bend when hit. Yes that wont happen often but still. Its scaring me back to steel

Yeah I agree. If Its the only thing up there when looking at the front I think its naked. But with snorkel and roof rack and a nice grill I think it looks sweet.

Wait you already have one? Now I'm confused! Haha

I think it will be a touch more vulnerable but i'm not sold on it being a weak link. They are built very well and I would bet the speeds and energy needed to damage one would more than likely damage a steel one as well. Plus 50-60 pounds is a big weight difference.

Veteran Truck bed liner quoted me at $200 to spray it. After gas and time/effort getting to PHX, I think $250 for Line-X is gonna be the better route if I want it professionally done. My 1/32nd jewish blood is telling me I should just do it myself though.

Do it yourself! Easy as pie! However, I don't think the diy kits are as solid of a product. I used the hurculiner and I like the texture and look but it does fade. Its really easy to touch up though and another coat after some time is even easier and gets it looking brand new again.20150309_190407.jpg 20150309_190252.jpg 20150309_190326.jpg 20150311_135854.jpg 20150311_135854.jpg 20150309_152235.jpg

Im actually looking at that kit right now on Amazon reading reviews. I just dont want it to be super rough and I see that with alot of the vehicles with DIY kits. The spray goes on so smooth and even. It goes on more as shell rather than grit tape.

Spindle gussets have arrived! Might as well order some plates and do the CMC while I'm at it. Guess now I need to find a welder too. Haha. :frusty:
