What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

Not the best pictures, but swapped out wheels and tires for TRD Pro 17" and BFG AT KO2 265/70/17. Tinted windows (55% rear and 30% front). Added SmittyBuilt D ring.

Next on the agenda... 2" lift (Bilstein 5100s all around with AAL rear). OEM racks.

Not sure after that.

Waited 2 months for my trd offroad finally arrived, plastidip the grill, installed nfab step, hid headlights, led fog and interior lighting, blackvue dash/rear cam for the crazy california drivers, 16x8 method wheels with stock tires for now, trying to decide on a lift kit, then larger tires....

 

Does the arb compressor get pretty hot as well?

 

Stopped by Lowe's and autozone on the way home and picked up the parts needs to make a tpms pipe bomb for my new truck once spring comes. Got a new set of wheels and going to run them in the summer and get a set of Cooper m+s snow tires for my steel wheels for the winter. Will be so much easier not having to get the tpms sensors programmed to the truck every fall and spring!!!

 

Not sure if you mean running or just sitting there under the hood so I'll answer both. It can get kind of hot running but that entire blue area is a heat sink and it works rather well keeping it in check. As for soaking up excessive engine heat, I don't expect that to be much of an issue. They get mounted underhood all the time and there's some decent separation for the exhaust manifold. I had one mounted in my '93 pickup that worked just as well they day I sold it as it did 5 years earlier when it was installed, that was on the intake side of a 22RE though. Still, don't expect it to be an issue.

 

Swapped out the orange dash bezel for the magnetic gray bezel .

Excellent ride! Exactly what I am getting the 2nd week of March. Dealer is getting me the TRD Rims at a small discount, and tossing on the KO2s for $200 each (plus $75 mounting fee). Any chance you could take a pic of the front more straight on with the bug deflector? would like to see a pic to know if that's a direction I want to go!

So far I haven't noticed any rubbing or scratching. I have the Bugflector... Not Bugflector II (FYI).

So had my 5000 mile service done. I have never owned a Toyota before and I am so pissed at the service place. Said they adjusted tire pressure (nope they didn't) said they rotated tires (nope didn't do that either) probably didn't even change the damn oil. Total garbage.
