So, I got Cait to max mushy-mushy tonight and get the perk from her. Can I just take my equipped shit back from her now, park her at the home-20, and move on to Piper next, or will I lose the perk?

 

Yes, you can. No you wont. Companions perks are permanent. Lover perks are temporary

 

Extend the trap line , you won't lose the perk

I'm not big on the companians (Dogmeat 4 Prez) but I was wondering is there a way to gauge the relationship between companions? At some point after so many "Deacon liked that." does he talk to you and give you something?

FYI, he gave me a code.

 

They'll either start talking to you with dialogue that starts a side mission if they have one or you will get the " So and So Idolizes you " which is when you will get their perk

PS I left Pipes at Covenant and went and humped the lounge singer last night , she was easy , now I'm roaming around with Macready

I think my favourite companions so far have been Dogmeat , Piper and Nick Valentine

Never had another companion. Then again I don't think I've played in two or so weeks.

I did however smash the lounge singer. The best way to forget someone is to deep fry the corndog in someone else.

I saw these a couple days ago when the Bethesda Twitter account started talking about them. I looked at them and was thinking about getting one (Cause that shit is awesome, yo) until I saw the price tag

 

Does dogmeat have a perk? I'm currently trying to get codsworth perk, then dogmeat, then Piper and I'll be done. I can't use Deacon or X whatever because I sided with BoS

Not perk per se, but there IS an ability in your perk chart for Dogmeat to pin a target and hold it still for you to give you a to-hit bonus in VATS, along with the ability to cause bleeding damage when he bites and I believe a possibility to cripple limbs as well

 

While Dogmeat is technically a companion, the benefits of the "Lone Wanderer" perk (increased carry weight, take less damage and dish out more damage depending on the perks level) still apply if you adventure with Dogmeat.

 

Nope, I'm pretty sure they patched that out actually
