I borrowed Jerrad's or Brian's air for the longest time!

 

After looking at some kits and thinking about my needs instead of a constant system I'm gonna do

If I ever need to upgrade tanks I could or upgrade whole system easily and for 130 can't complain.

 

Imagine the possibilities! Hard to complain about 130 for on-board air. Where would you mount it?

 

Wowowow hold the bus. I wonder what the dimensions on that tank are. It would probably fit in the spare tire location.

 

19 by 7.5 by 6. It will fit. But I'm thinking... I'd have to look but how about along the side of the bed between the fenders. Now it would cause problems in a roll over or tbone but damn.

 

I've been thinking about between the fender and bed also.

 

As for compressor itself. I'm thinking about a hinge on the standard storage boxes sealing it to keep it out of water/sand for the most part and having it fold down and mounted in place. Anyone wanna do a build day this weekend? Hahha

Under my reading and my limited knowledge of air compressors. It maxes at 120.. I normally drop to 10-12 psi and top 32 which is only 88 lbs ish. But I'm reading up on it now.

 

Also. This system is a 25% cycle.. the "33" inch system is a 33% cycle with a .5 bigger tank. 150 psi vs 120. For 80 $ more I'm comparing systems now


EDIT: Think about small systems. People use small compressors and prime a small tank .5 or bigger normally totally able to fill up. It's the same principle just bigger tank. I wouldn't be putting strain on the compressor just using the air from the tank... Idk in my eyes it would be fine... I'm going to email the company i think.

 

Yeah I noticed that duty cycle. Not very much

 

But small compressors are 15%

Their "33in" portable has less psi rating and the same cycle... There is no issue in the capabilities of the compressor... Still doing research....

 

Lester for me was a good time in the spring. Talk to @penguins_cc for how we got in.

Currently sitting in the Safari Room in the Davenport Hotel (Spokane). I've had 1 2/3 pints (maybe more? Not sure how big the glasses are) of Mac n' Jacks. Standing up is bad right now. I think I'm a total lightweight until I remember I haven't eaten a single thing since noon. Maybe I'm still a lightweight.

 

From experience with different OBA systems i've come to the conclusion that:
1) If you plan on getting lockers in the foreseeable future get the ARB dual compressor.
2) If no lockers then get a 10lb or 15lb CO2 tank

Doesn't work for everyone but IMO they are the best 2 options depending on how your mods are going.

 

My problem with tanks is I may not be in an area for refills or i may need to use tools.. They are cheap and a solid system but those 2 send me to air. The arb system is nice but it's also spendy. But buy once cry once. Thats why I look stuff up!

 

You can use air tools with CO2 easily. Thats why i'd buy at least a 10lb tank if not 15lb

Any welding shop or place that fills paintball tanks can do it.

 

Yup, i've ran a few tools off of it before and worked great CO2 is something like 150psi where a small compressor is about 120 I think

 

I'd wonder about what tools are really OK with CO2. As a paintballer, I know that o-rings don't last as long and better machined markers meant for LPA or HPA don't like co2 at all.
