This. The clunk is much aggravated by turning while shifting into/outta 4wd

    Nothing is perfect.
    Nothing.

I am sure that the dealer will take care of you. Give them a chance.

    Best of luck.

And isn't it sad that we all accept that no product is perfect. And I know the dealer will take care of things. This dealer prides themselves on before during and after the sale service.

Not really. Men are human and are inherently imperfect ( we all have our flaws ). It only stands to reason that nothing a man makes could ever be perfect. Then you add in the automation..........

Got my Taco back from the dealer's service department today.

They agreed with others in this tread who said the clunk shifting to and from 4wd is normal. The service manager told me it is for Toyota. In fact the he said this one is one of the smoothest he has experienced. As for the engine and traction control lights, they updated the software. Fixed. As for the heater fan noise, they replaced the blower motor.

Sounds like the dealer took care of you. Still think your truck is a lemon? :)

It's good to hear about the decent dealership experience, I've heard many horror stories. Mine still has that cold start whining sound but I think I'll just live with it, doesn't seem to be hurting anything. From what I gather on these forums, it seems to be a relatively common problem and the oil pump is the culprit. The last thing I want is some dealer hack working on my new engine and causing more issues.

From what I have read this is something that should be taken to the dealer and fixed. Would hate for the pump to go out after warranty.

Cool of them to replace the blower motor. Sounds like your all set and you had a good dealer experience?
