So I just got around to watching the videos in the 1st post of the Jeeps traveling part of the trail. Do we need to be concerned with finding broke down Jeeps on the trail?

Just look at the build thread
I'd pick up a spare OEM ball joint if I were you. You don't want to be in the situation I was in. And the rest of us don't want to be in that situation recovering you either. It sucked.

I'll have two spare lower ball joints with me as well as bolts. They're Moog brand, but they'll do just fine for replacements.
    Haha it's always a possibility!
I'll have two, so if somebody needs one I think we should be good. If we have to use both then we're in a bad situation anyways! Haha

Definitely doesn't hurt to have one though.

Speaking of shitty situations I probably should figure out what the noise is that my truck is making and fix it before this trip

You guys are talking about lower ball joints. Do you carry a press for them as well. Lowers can be a pain in the arse.

I've never needed a press for lower ball joints. Uppers yes, lowers no.

My plan as of right now is to leave work in Fort Worth around 2:30 or 3 on Wednesday and head up to Harrison. I am not 100% sure on the route but the quickest way looks to take the toll way up through Frisco and jump on 75 in McKinney. Another option is to take 30 all the way to Little Rock and then head north.
