I'm going to honk Toyota's horn for mileage. I've watched the threads on bad mileage and I'm at a loss for some of the stated numbers in the mid-teens. Took a trip to the Oregon coast yesterday, about a 50 mile trip each way over the coastal range. Stayed in Drive most of the trip, dropping to S5 and S4 at times going up the pass. Mileage on the trip over was 26.2! Mileage on the trip home was 25.6. Drove most of it at 60mph since it's a known state police watch zone in a couple of spots.

I consistently run about 19-21 back and forth to town and short trips. This is all with a stock SR5 with auto. Stock 245 tires, no lift, just as I picked it up from the dealer. I took the time to break it in gradually to the 1000 mile mark. Outside of that, I've done nothing else to date. It really puzzles me the low numbers some folks are getting. Would be nice if Toyota could chime in on mileage variances.

I have close to 8300 miles on my TRD OR, and no matter what driving style except 25 mph under the speed limit do I get more than 16 mpg.

Temperature has dropped and mileage has gone down some more. At rated interstate speed I get a little over 15 mpg, and will not get into 6th gear; engine does not have enough power/torque. This is just me with an empty box driving.

I would think something is wrong if you're getting in the teens with stock tires. I average about 23 in my daily driving with no thought given to conserve gas. 25 on highways is no problem.

My SR5 with AT tires with the same height as the OEM tires gets about 19-20 around town. Not much info on HWY mileage yet.

I can't wait to get on my first trip with it to see how well it gets. Right now I'm getting 12-13 mpg around town but that's with Remote start being used to warm it up and my town is veeeeeerrrry hilly. Best I got was a 75 mile trip with 21 mpg which I think is quite healthy seeing as I've only had it a month. Not really out of the "learning" range yet.
