ATX Mojave fitment

    I noticed that the ATX mojave backspacing is 4.48, I was just wondering if thats too much. I really want to avoid rubbing when i get my 285s so is 4 inch backspacing really ideal or is it a little difference from the 4.48?

    most everyone running 285's run a 4.5" on an 8" width rim

    oh I was under the impression the stock rims are 4.5 backspacing thats why aftermarket wheels or wheel spacers are required. I thought that 4'' back spacing was what most people ran. thanks for clearing that up

    wait i thought that the larger the backspacing the more rubbing you would have because it brings the tire closer to the frame?? thats why people run the spacers

    stock rims are 5.5" BS. the less the BS, the further it sticks out

    gotcha. ok well let me aqsk this then. Which one will be better for running 285s? 4'' or 4.5'' backspacing

    The mojaves should fit just fine. And I think they only come with 4.5" backspacing in the 16"x8" 6on5.5 configuration, and a lot of people run big tires with them.

    I got the ATX THUG wheels that are 18x9 with a -12mm offset running 285/65-18"s. Not sure what the backspacing is but I only had to do some minor trimming to avoid contact at full-tilt.:cool:
