09 Access Cab Sub Upgrade

Sorry no before pic. This is a work in progress but here's what I've done so far. Still Need to sound deaden, make a trim ring and tidy up the wires a bit. Suggestions and opinions are welcome as I'm pretty new to Car Audio. I used a JL audio XD600/1 for the amp and
8W3v3 MicroSub. I was able to buy both of these slightly used locally for less than $200. So far I'm quite impressed with the JL stuff. Back "seat" removed

I made some spacers to hold the amp up off the carpet. I'm not sure this was necessary though, so far the amp hasn't even really gotten warm. Ill be trimming and re routing the wires for a little bit cleaner look later

Finished for now. I did some colouring with a black sharpie on the white stitching....I think it turned out pretty well and it's a little less flashy this way. Also waaaay more subtle than the stock "flux capaciter" sub that was there. Huge difference in volume and sound quality as well.

 

Just curious Why didn't you mount the amp under the front driver or passenger seat ?Im pretty sure it would have fit without any issues and probably suit you better

I wasn't sure about heat and wanted to be able to make adjustments easily. Seems like neither of these turned out to be much of an issue. In the future I will be adding another amp for some better components in the front door. I might try and put them both under the seat when i do.
