    This is about the pace I lost weight at for about 3 months.

    That said I was 250-something then and clearly in awful shape, nor was I doing any weights except 5 pounders while on the treadmill

    Yeah, when you're really big, as soon as you become active and eating at a deficit, you burn fat like crazy. Sadly, it slows down with the more fat you lose

    Ideal weight for me is 170-185 so that gives you an idea of where I was. Not to mention pounding 2-3 big bottles of soda at 1000 calories per bottle.

    For where you or I am now totally. Back then any muscle I had was from carrying my 250 pound frame..i topped out just shy of 300 in my late 20s when I was drinking a case of beer most every day
