 my dad took his car out for the first time since the blizzard. first time he's really had it in the snow. said he could rip around like it was pavement. something to be said about all those fancy electronic torque distribution systems.

Took my 5 month old Escape in this morning because the transmission was already acting up. Who knew towing steel would harm it...

Decided to leave that turd there and go back to a truck.

that very first picture actually is from Ocala.

Tillis Hill (the sign) is the name of the camp ground we always stayed at when we wheeled Citrus Wildlife Management Area. all the other pictures are from random areas we took smaller groups to, since the trails were tighter than Ocala and the other areas.

just gotta take care of your shit mang. I have zero rust issues with my truck. driven in salty winters, lived by the beach in florida, and drove through salt water in texas (se below picture). as long as you thoroughly clean your undercarriage and reapply paint where needed, no rust. my dad is just as meticulous with his car.

Escape is a turd. My dad has a 2014 fx4. Great, comfortable truck. Good choice.

I made out as best I could and wasn't too far upside down in it. I refuse to trade in negative equity but at the rate I was going, I would be upside down in that car until it was paid off. Plus, I will killing it trying to haul steel with it so I decided it made more sense to cut my losses with it. I owed $22k on it and traded it for $17,500. So, not terrible but not ideal either.

You made out much better at the 2nd dealership. Congrats!

Did the dealer know about the screwed-up transmission?
