Maybe it was a typo and they meant 2019 Toyota Tacoma, or maybe they will implement portions of these changes for the next three years 17,18 and 19 . One thing I do agree on though, I find it hard to beleieve that Toyota would implement all of these changes only one year after a redesign.

I hear 2018 is a clean sheet redesign. Will have a V8 and diesel. They got tired of BlueT's posts. =)

At first reading these comments I was like maybe there is a chance of some of these implications with the epa restrictions coming up again. But then I read this douche bags article.... Where did he come up with this crap?

Who ever wrote that article deserves to be fired. He/she clearly has no idea what they are talking about. Not only is the info wrong, but there are so many mistakes in the article.

"The next optional gasoline engine will be a four-cylinder, V6 mill with the capacity of 3.5 liters. This engine offers the vehicle the essential power of 236 horsepower. This engine will also be mated to a six-velocity mechanical transmission. Rumors said it will be one2017 Toyota Tacoma diesel engine, from Cummins powerplant with 5.0-liter capacity, but it comes as a big spender."

Its just click bait. It was probably assembled by a bot which took a bunch of garbage info though some search algorithm. The article is so poorly written that it's either a bot or English as a second language.

No. It's probably ran by a single person and self generates articles. It probably generates a few bucks every month through ads.

No way. It talks about a 4.6 and 5.7 liter v6 in that article. The pic is also of a hilux from late 2014/early 2015. Probably another bot posting shit to piss you off and generate more ad revenue.

If you google 2017 Tacoma or something similar, a bunch of crap comes up. Apparently most of these articles assumed Toyota wasn't releasing the 3rd gen until late 2016 as a 2017 model

Yeah it's all garbage. If Motor Trend, Car and Driver and other reputable auto publications are saying this stuff it's one thing because they have journalistic integrity. The other stuff is just crap.

I think this takes a page right out of the Onion News or National Enquire. The article states:

"Rumors said it will be one 2017 Toyota Tacoma diesel engine, from Cummins powerplant with 5.0-liter capacity, but it comes as a big spender".

    LOL
