Yup. 556 I think. It's a perfect knife. But of course I had to buy the PM2 and Sage 2. But I carry the BM a lot.

 

How do you compare the mini grip to the PM2

The cryo is my everyday knife.
it doesn't hold the sharp edge for long but it is a good everyday knife that's not expensive at all so I wouldn't be bothered if I lost it.

 

By the way, what is the difference between Spyderco Sharpmaker and Lansky Deluxe Sharpening System?

Mini Grip to PM2 aren't even a good comparison. Maybe the full size Grip would compare better. The PM2 is a great knife. Amazing quality and the compression lock is superb. But I carry my Mini Grip 9/10 times instead of the PM2. I have to be in the mood to carry the PM2 or maybe just want to switch it up.

Like I said, lately I've been carrying my Sage 2. It's so thin and I'm just blown away by it at the moment. But I'm sure the Mini Grip will work its way back in as my EDC. For $80 I feel like it's a great knife. I just had to have a PM2 just because.

 

For me it really comes down to money and addicting knife purchases. A $2.99 Ozark Trail knife from Walmart can do everything I need in an EDC knife. I don't hunt, camp, or cut cardboard all day with my knife. I cut off tags and open boxes of toys for my 3 year old girl 99% of the time. Would the $2.99 knife work for that? Sure as heck it would. But what would be the fun in that?

Also, I eat way more apples and pears now just so I have a reason to use my knife. Once again, would a kitchen knife work? You get the idea.

It's a slippery road man. There's always going to be another knife you'll want to buy.

 

My F1 showed up yesterday. Haven't had a lot of time to check it out. But damn, it's nice!

Axxis Assist is pretty sweet. It's almost automatic but not enough that you cannot own it (In some states, like CA, automatic opening knives are illegal for all but law enforcement and active military users). I have a couple of ZT/Benchmades with assisted opening-they're pretty sweet. But like someone said, it's addicting and you'll figure out how to open the non-assist knives pretty quickly too.

 

So which one is better ? Its 8Cr13MoV but I will be getting more knives soon.

I've literally used a Flexx field strop with green and black compound since day one and it is a razor

I'll use to make kindling, split smaller branches, make a fuzz stick - few minutes with a strop and it's brand new again.
