what kind of subwoofer options do i have for an access cab tacoma?

pretty much impossible to install something that you cant see from outside????

but it looks like it is concealed fairly well.

 

your right unless you totally delete the under rear seat storage and make a custom box to fit under that. never seen it done before tho or if its even possible

oh also you can get new door panels that are built to put shallow mount subs in, i dont think they work to well and look dumb imo.

 

I have a jl audio stealth box in mine. Fits a 10 inch sub and its pretty hard to tell theres even a sub in the cab.

If you have it wired correctly and have enough power to run the sub it can hit really hard and its very crisp. I love my settup!

Nice setup! Did you have to modify or cut up the storage containter in the center console, or were you able to leave it the way it was? Also where are your amp/s? thanks!!!

 

^^ Yeah i had to cut up my center console a bit, I also lost quite a bit of depth in the center console to store things. But honestly once the storage is gone you find other places for things and it all works out! My amps are under the passengers seat and all the wiring is either ran through my middle console or along the door panel to the glove box. Its a really clean way to set it all up and ive been running this system for 2.5 years and have not a single complaint about it.

 

cool thanks man! Ur set up seems to be the better choice for access cabs. I have a bazooka tube in the back behind the driver seat, i got it for free so i put it in. I'm gunna look into the JL setup. You wouldn't have any pics of the inside of the center console would you??

 

Not as of right now, but when i head home ill take some for you and post them up. Its only about 1 to 1.5 inches deep. But ill post photo's up of where my amp is and wiring, etc.

Yeah thats what i said when i was trying to find the best way to add a sub / system in mine. My overall cost was about $2,400 but i also replaced every since speaker inside including tweeters with some of JL's highest grade stuff plus a touch screen double din deck with my ipod wired in the glove box and the amps.

If your like me and you really enjoy music, spend the extra money because you'll notice a huge difference in quality and honestly it is worth every penny! I still think, to this day, that it was some of the best money i put into my truck. Hands down!

 

Your setup is NICE. Was wondering how's the sound like?

 

My came with one, but I don't like it at all. I would remove if I could find the covers for the openings it leaves. If someone knows the part numbers for the opening covers that would help.

 

i will buy it off you for say 200 and then you can use that money to buy custom fabrications to fill the hole
or i can give you the piece that i will have to cut off i dont know if you can somehow fabricate on to yours
