I have an 09' DC 4wd. I ordered 5100's and am having them put on in the a.m. I wish to set them at 1.75. I also have a 1/4" toytech top plate spacer that i had planned on installing On the drivers side due to the lean as well.
My question, with my measurements.... Will I be front high (bro lean) with that 1/4" extra spacer on the drivers side? Here is what I measured:

    Drivers side Passenger side
    Front- 34.25" Front- 34.75"

    Rear- 36" Rear- 36.75"

Will you even need the spacer on the drivers side for the 5100's? I didn't think you got the lean with the 5100's. Anyone else experience this?

Never heard of them being side specific so yes the lean should still be there.

I thought the lean was on the drivers side most of the time? :notsure:

Yes, all the heavy stuff is on driver side. The 5100 are not side specific, meaning one isn't specifically meant for the driver side to correct the lean.

agree..... 5100s arent side specific, only the stock coils are in an attempt to control lean.......but they work as good as the rear suspension works at carrying half its rated payload.

With factory coils you typically don't need a lean spacer as the factory coils are side specific due to addition weight on drivers side. With aftermarket coils they are not side specific and so a lean spacer is needed.

Now this doesn't mean a lean spacer couldn't be used with the factory coils should the need be there. Even though the drivers side coil is made to accomodate the additional weight, years of abuse a lean could develop

The lean would be due to the springs. If using stock springs, they are side specific to compensate, and should not have much lean if installed on proper side. Aftermarket springs will usually create a lean. Seeing as you have a little lean already it may or may not be beneficial for you to use the spacer. Kind of hard to say.

I have 5100's @ 1.75" with the 1/4" spacer on the driver's side, with Offroad coils, and I'm dead even on both sides. The coils were bought new, and installed with my frame swap. The old Offroad coils had the same setup with the same result, only with the 5100's @ .85".

The coils are side specific, but still have the lean. The dealer had initially installed the springs on the wrong side, and even with the spacer on the driver's side, the passenger's side ended up being noticeably higher.

As far as the Bro lean goes, you should be pretty even front to back as the 1.75" setting usually gains ~ 2". Mine was even on all four corners initially with nothing but new factory leafs in the back, but it still looked a little nose high to me. I was measuring center of hub to fender, and think the rear flares are actually cut into the fender higher than the fronts. Because when it was in that state, and I measured the bottom of the cab to the floor, the front of the cab was slightly higher than the back.
I've since added a 2" AAL. I now have the factory rake back (Back 2" higher than the front).

Is there a visual way to tell which coils are driver side specific? I have some TRD Off Road coils and struts that I want to install on my truck but have no idea which setup goes on which side.

I'll take some pictures of them when I get home. I tried looking to see if any of the serial numbers were different on them or if any codes were different but no luck.

That's a lot of response... But no one answered my question.
Given the measurements i provided on my OP.... Will I be nose high!?? (With the 1/4" spacer on the drivers side that it seems I need)

    These are from '05 coils:

    Front Left / Driver's side - P/N # 48131-AD231 - Pink/White
    Front Right / Passenger's side - P/N # 48131-AD221 - Orange/White

Unfortunately yours are different. That's part of the problem, they keep changing the color codes, and even the parts guys don't know. I finally got one of them to send me some pics with the labels still on them. That was the only way to tell.

The spacer will not make any real difference front to back. It's only purpose is to correct the half inch delta from driver's to passenger's side.
