im sorry, but that sounds like you have water/moisture getting into the cab from somewhere, maybe not pouring in, but getting in, is the w/shield original or??

Completely normal. Simple physics. Involves temperature differentials and humidity. Snow or water accumulation in the floor mats will cause the condensation. I live above the 49th and interior condensation on the windows has occurred on every vehicle I have owned since I was 16. Nothing new here and certainly has nothings specific to the Tacoma. Almost always occurs in the winter, fall and spring. In the winter the condensation can become interior frost. Simple breathing adds moisture to the interior of a vehicle.

The clearing it off is not an issue. I just wondered why condensation forms on the inside of the windshield. Never owned a car/truck in the last 38 years that done this. I went out one morning and the inside windshield had just as much frost on it as the outside.

I can live with it. It is not a everyday occurrence.

well, I reckon different climes have different issues, I have never had "moisture" on the inside unless, as I stated, I had water intrusion into the cabin, even in minute amounts

This is my first new car/truck... Live in MA and temps have been in the 20's past couple days and have noticed this frost at the bottom of the windshield. I have never experienced or have heard of anyone else having frost inside their brand new or even used vehicle. Never happened in my previous used vehicles. Should I call toyota? Just doesn't seem right....

I also experience a lot of moisture in my cab, but my issue is the passanger floor is full of water (rains a lot in the seattle area). I have ran the defrost only a couple of time, not enough for the quantity of water on the floor, I checked the drain line from the a/c coil and it is connected and not plugged. my truck goes to the dealer next Wednesday for this issue.

Tell me what Toyota says. I would like to know before I call Jeep as it happens on my Jeep as well.

Update on my issue. I dropped the truck off yesterday, and I received a call about an hour ago the my windshield is the culprit, and they ordered a windshield which will be here tomorrow but they will not be done till next week as they wanted to make sure the floor was all dry.

I spoke with a service manager who dealt with a Tacoma who blew the entire fuze box due to moisture in the vehicle. After tearing the vehicle apart to check for the source of the water they found that the windshield adhesive wasn't applied all the way around the windshield. He indicated that QC caught it before they left and removed the windshield and applied a different product. Even after that this one still blew the electrical.

Dealership had my truck for a week, and I finally got it back with a new windshield. We had major rains yesterday and so far my water leak/moisture has been fixed. I'm sure i'll have the normal condensation (living in the north west), as much rain as we get.

This is entirely environmental, but each car reacts differently depending on how seal up it is, and where the condensation forms. If you close up the car and it is warm and a bit more humid, when it cools down (depending on how fast and how sealed the car is) you will get condensation as the cold air can't hold as much moisture as it could while it was warmer.

That said, in a new, well-sealed car or during large fluctuations, it is happening whether you see it or not. It is simply condensing at the location that cools down the fastest. If you aren't seeing it in other cars, it is probably condensed above the headliner or some other hidden place that cools down fast. It can be exacerbated by additional water like snow melting off your boots etc., but all of this is 100% normal.

I don't know about everyone else here but I still have the factory glass and there's a slight gap in the seal where it meets and a slight amount of water will drip in when it rains
