The only thing you'll read on arfcom is that colt is the only rifle worth buying.

Also be ready to praise Larry Vickers.

I've never, NEVER found a need to visit that website

I went there once, hated it, found everything I need to know about black rifles here and at pirate4x4 and youtube...bought one, got issued another, and learned them out on the range and on my work bench

I agree. I prefer M4Carbine.net, but wanted to join ar15.com to access the for sale section. Missed some good deals not being able to join.

I have one I don't use but I thought I tried it too. Maybe it's changed since you joined.

Edit; just tried, gmail is no go. It says you need a company or ISP account.

    Lets play "IDENTIFY THE HANDGUARD!!"

Palmetto has a handguard on a rifle in their store...it has no markings, and they won't sell it to me by itself...nor will they tell me who made it

I want it...it's 13.2" long, and a hybrid lightweight "quad rail" without the rail sections where you would grip the rifle. It also doesn't have keymod or mlok slots in the gaps either...but it's slightly concaved for your thumb to fit nicely

    Can anyone identify it?

Triton, Outbreak Ordnance, and CIM Tactical all make one similar, but not QUITE the same...and most of theirs are out of stock somewhere

yes...It's on their rifles...but I'm not buying another rifle just to get the handguard

someone makes it for them and I want to find the supplier

example, FN and Aero Precision make their lowers, and FN makes a lot of their barrels...PSA doesn't actually manufacture anything, except rifles from other manufacturers parts

My first AR! Sig M400. Wish I would have saved for the 516, but oh well. I have a EOTech EXPS 2-1, magpul front grip, magpul front and rear sights and a streamlight TLR-1 mounted on the rails. I've put around 80 rounds through it so far and it shoots great. Any suggestions to make this gun even better from those of you with more experience?

And I would put a magpul stock on it, but that's personal preference.
