Yeah I didn't have Silver only white but this gives you and idea of how it will look seeing how the first pictures had no backing plate at all.

White backplate maybe little too loud for me, how would silver back plate look with the default blk pwdercoating grille on a quicksand body?

 

You won't know unless you order one that way i guess.

 

Probably look best if you stayed with a color match to body or stick with default black.

 

@JLee any chance you could put a black backing plate behind the lettering for those of us who just went with straight black can see what the look will be?

The pics of QS backplate on this grill helped me make my decision & I know it will look better because BAMF design is much better lookin in my opinion and the TOYOTA letters are bigger.

Sorry but i don't have the time to keep changing the colors and taking more pictures I'll have pictures of the the coated production models as soon as they are finished. If you then want to change your order to a color matched or other we can do that.

We can remove a paint the backplate ourselves, correct? Or is it hard mounted. I ordered black on black because I'm not sure if I like the idea of a colored backplate but would like the option to paint it at a later date.

Yes, pretty sure few pgs back, he said we can remove the back plate to paint...

Yes the backing plate will be 3M foam taped in place you can just peal it off paint it and tape it back on. One thing the center section is going have 8 .188" rivets holding it on so those would need to be drilled out to remove it.

 

are those rivets going to be ss or powdercoated as well?

They are not seen its on the back side of the grille and I'm still sourcing option so ss or aluminum most likely.
