Sorry man! The girl I sold it to is pretty cool and will get plenty of use out of it. She has been looking for a Flippac for a while. She has a 2001 double cab.

The measurements were pretty close:

Interior length/ interior width (cab)/ interior width (tailgate)
1st gen: 60.25"/ 57.13"/ 57.13"
2nd gen: 61.00"/ 56.75"/ 56.25"

The Flippac doesn't taper like the bed, so it should work. Will probably hang about 1" over the edge of the 1st gen's bedsides- the 2nd's bed rails are much wider. The inside lip/ bottom of the Flippac is 5" wide on the sides and about 2" in the front. Plenty of wiggle room. Plus, the sides of the shell are not as wide as the 2nd gen bedsides:

Thanks! Going to pick it up tomorrow morning. I had one on my Scout and it was great for snow camping. The Falcon was only made for a few year, then replaced with the "Finch". It's pretty small inside though. I'll Tetris the crap out of the inside so there's no wasted space. It doesn't stick out past the tailgate as far as the Finch (10" shorter), so there's still room for a standard HC swing-out bumper... maybe next year. My mod budget for the year is gone, and it's only January...

Sprinter 4x4's are awesome. Glad they finally started offering them in the U.S.

Where did the girl live at? I met this super cool girl from San Jose who had a 3rd gen 4Runner and 1st gen DC with her husband. Wonder if it was her.
