I might keep the setup I have now with no shackle flip. Everything is working perfectly with eachother as far as shock length, bumps, and droop. I would hate to mess with my setup now and have to buy different length shocks or something. Maybe in the future when I have some cash to blow.

Well, the shackle install turned into a chore. I forgot that in order to swap shackles, I had to remove the leaf spring from the truck to get enough clearance to get the bolt, holding the shackle to spring, out. Anyway, I like how it turned out. No squeaking and the new shackles and bushings can move better than the old stock ones (my old bushings might have been shot).
I had to remove the U-bolts and all the bolts holding the leaf springs to the frame.

Old shackle before I swapped it:

Thanks guys. I figured that I might as well upgrade shackles if I was going to replace my bushings anyway.

How many miles did you have on the old shackles?

About 25,000. I like the idea of having a grease fitting on the shackle.

Mine weren't that bad. I just happened to get a good deal on these from a local member here that didn't end up using them. It was kind of an impulse buy. At least now all of my leaf spring bushings are poly.

Yeah if I came across some for a good price I'd probably get them too.

I got my Iggy switch panel in today along with some blanks. These are the switches going in. I'll finish painting the panel tomorrow.

Did some wiring last night. I got my 3-pos rock light switch and the DRL switch for the S8 light bar installed in the Iggy panel. I have 4 blanks left and wiring additional switches should be easy because I have a switched 12v feed, ground, and illumination wires down to the new Iggy panel.

I used to have the drl wired to come on with the rigid fogs. Now they are separated so I can have just running lights on.

Yeah man, scored. The shackles are made by ATO, same guys that make the shackle flip. I need to go and flex the rear suspension, measure, and see if I have enough shock left to take advantage of their flip kit. If I don't, I'm just going to leave it alone because everything is working fine now.

    Love your rig, Dana. Tight.

Question: BHLM: did you crack them open and do it yourself, or are these aftermarket? I haven't been able to find off-the-shelf black headlights for 12-15.

    Thank bud.

As for the BHLM, I cracked them open and just painted the bezel with Krylon fusion. I used flat black iirc, I'll check when I get home. When I baked the painted bezel, it turned a little glossier. It really wasn't that bad and I just used the write up from a thread on TW. I got the window sealant from Oreilly's.

If you take advantage of their flip kit, I'll buy that shackle off you :fingerscrossed: :D
