I just started getting into hunting. Been a fisherman since I was a child though. March 19th and 20th would be cool for Joshua Tree. That's the week before Easter. And I'm actually off that weekend so I'm biased. haha

Well lets throw some stone at this shindig. I have camping gear falling out of my garage and enough firewood to make burning man look boy scout-ish. haha My vote is cast for the 19th-20th. Everyone can meet at my place which is on the way and roll out -- if they would like. Just a thought. Extending myself to new pals.

Well there's Johnson Valley where King of the Hammers is and is BLM and covers a lot of topography near JT. However, that's certainly not super secret by any means. Nevertheless, I'm down for any spot in JT. Admittedly, I live so close to JT I have yet to venture out and fully explore it.

I'm not too savvy with setting up "official meet pages" but should we start one of those doohickey's up for this? I work that Friday night 1700-0500 so I'll roll out Saturday and come home Monday. Benefits of my job is I work 3 days, off 3 days, repeat. The bummer side is I don't always have traditional Sat/Sun off like most so I'm pumped to join in on this meet.

Only other one I've been able to make was the 6th annual TW Superstition mtns meet which was awesome. Although I burned my back saving camping chairs too close to the fire after setting Christmas trees ablaze.

From google maps, take the 62 into JT, right on Park blvd. then Left on Onaga… follow the dirt and these are a few camp spots that I usually go to. The thing is, its not necessarily BLM land, but I've been going there for years without problem. Anything more than 6 trucks will be a tough situation though. Just throwing it out there out. Its an awesome spot otherwise

Excellent. Found it on google maps right away. So it's cool to just show up, set up shop, and enjoy a fire? Awesome. I'm with it.

Yeah its cool there, the spot to the right on the picture is way more secluded, you can't really tell on the maps, but it gains a bit of elevation and has GREAT views/boulder hiking. But that one is smaller, maybe 4 trucks if we clutter up the spot. FYI

Right on. I'm down for the spot to the left and then we could always wheel over to the other area for the photo ops and hiking.
