Hey Guys, just a little note to say "hello". I joined today to get a fix for my console outside temp guage fixed. The fix I found worked great. Took me 20 mins and saved me 900 bucks. So, I guess I'm here to stay. I'll post pics of the Taco later.

Hello back at ya from Charlotte! I'm also a new member. I retired my 1990 Jeep truck last week (original owner, purchased new) and am now the proud owner of a '08 PreRunner SR5. Still learning about the Tacoma, hope to learn even more here and contribute when I can.

Thanks for the welcome! Nice truck, like the mods. Are you happy with your USA SPEC iPod adapter? Mine is coming in this week, I'm looking forward to it, radio gets old.

That Ipod adapter is the best mod I've made so far, it works great I've never had any problems with it, and its very simple to install.

Cool! Glad it has worked out. I'm sure it will be my best mod also ;)

Where did you end up putting the box itself? Also, I see many people put the ipod in the glove box, is that how you did it? Depending on the cable length, I may look for somewhere different.

I used the included double-sided tape and stuck it inside the dash behind the headunit. I drilled a hole in the back of the tray below the ignition, and used a piece of thin wire to pull the cord through the dash to that tray. Its pretty simple just take your time and be patient.

Now that's a thought... I haven't found anything to do with that tray, so that may be the best use for it. Thanks for the tip. TTYL!
