I did the same mod. I didn't notice much of a HP bump....but the gas mileage doubled and chicks just walk right up and get in my truck now. Just sayin'....

 

Did ya get the steel or aluminum one? Notice any sag? What lift ya got on there if any?

 

I cut a couple of pieces of 5/4 board to fit into the notches in the bed of the truck in case I ever needed to haul anything a little wider than the wheel wells. I cut a third piece of 5/4 board, and made a DIY fishing rod holder:



The plastic rod holders are made by Berkley. My Father has a small metal fabrication shop, and he made a couple of stainless brackets to mount it all together. The angle on the brackets allows the rod tips to clear the bed extender by ~1.5-2 inches. I bored a hole through the 5/4 board to slip a loop cable lock through allowing me to lock the whole thing off to the front D-rings in an attempt to deter any would be thieves.

 

Garage is kinda small dont you think?

At the service part of our local dealership, since it's not in the same location as the showroom, to get an oil change.

About a 2 hour wait. DAYUM! Peeps trying to get shit done on Saturday for sure.

 

Last time I let the dealer change my oil (older GM car), they also offered to wash it too. I sat around for 4 hours...

 

Steel one. I didn't notice much of any sag. Should've taken measurements before and after, but totally spaced on that. No lift on it. Its a surprisingly light bumper. Real easy for two people to lift.

Damn. LOL! I don't mind waiting. Gives me a break away from the wife and kid while they're off doing their own thing. Service guy that helped me has a 4runner. Got to talking about mods and stuff while he set me up. Said Toy Tec makes really good stuff. Guess I'll have to check them out and see what they got that I may want. And by may want I mean could afford. And by could afford I mean what the wife may let me buy.

Took her to the dealership to get an oil change. Waited about 2 hours because of how busy they were, but all good.

Then took it to a car wash that they gave me a coupon for, to wash off salt and all that other crap.

After that, did the "put back my stock antenna because the Shortie broke off at the car wash" mod. WTF. Didn't think/know that thing was that flimsy. Guess I have to either look for a new one, a different brand short one, or settle for the stock one.

 

At close to 100,000 miles I decided to change the serpentine belt. Straight forward but a bit a of a pain to have to go from underneath. Now I'm good for another 100,000 miles. The old belt had a few cracks in the ribs but overall was in ok shape.

 

Warmed up enough in garage to finally put map/dome LED's in!

 

Took my rig to Bear alignment and frame. Love how they do it the old school way. I put the taco on a computerized alignment earlier this month and it was worse than when I brought it in.

 

Changed my oil and differential fluid for the Citrus Meet trip.

 

Mounted a couple brackets from 4xinnovations to hold 2 C-stands securely. Filmmaker's hack!
