12-15 Tacoma Retrofit w/ FXR Projectors Chrome/Black

OEM style and a little custom paint can go a long way. The gorgeous retro has just the right amount of chrome and paint to make it stand out. We outfitted a brand new set of headlights a Morimoto FXR D2S bixenon projector for kick ass output. Appollo 3 chrome shroud was used to cover up the massive projector and painted the reflector and front trim gloss black.

 

Looks awesome! I'm still debating whether to leave my turn signal bowls chrome or black it out

Danny its 975 for mini h1s and 1185 for fxr set. Both looks wise would be same just difference is projector

 

Do you use oem or after market headlights for your retrofits?

 

Its customers choice, my prices include aftermarket lights but if customer wants to pay extra for oem I can build them out of oem

Would you mind elaborating on your warranty "Lifetime Tech Support & 90 day warranty on parts & labor."
For example, if on day 100, my headlights start developing condensation inside the housing or if I begin having some paint issues, will I be on my own?

I'm in San Diego and frankly our warranty is very "flexible" I care about reviews to much to leave a customer hanging. I'm about to re write the warranty, the only reason it says 90 is because usually moisture happens quickly not over time. You can check my reviews on Facebook you'll see I treat my customers amazingly

I'm currently just doing some research. There was an issue with one of the retrofitters I was going to use, so now I'm looking for a new retrofitter.
Do aftermarket headlights have a "black chrome" option? I'm trying to stick to a more oem look so painted bezels and bowls are not an option.

 

The black chrome we can do but my concern is clear costing something that's chrome and something we can't sand. We haven't tested the longevity of that

 

I could be wrong but I believe Eagle makes that smoked/black chrome look.

Yes. Current ones having some issues
After speaking to several guys at TRS, I'm convinced my retrofits need new FXR projectors. The light output is about 50% of what it should be (even swapped ballasts and bought new Philips bulbs). And to make matters worse, I noticed condensation inside both housings last weekend, been though they have been condensation free for the past 1.5 or so years

 

After a year and half and they condense now? That's so odd

 

Depends who build them I don't know maybe they used cheap fxrs?

 

The lights themselves are several years old. I purchased them second hand. I thought it was strange too considering I haven't changed anything or touched anything.

Do the projectors have some sort of reflective coating?
