Well, Rhonda (my taco) is going in for surgery tomorrow. The stealership is gonna fix her wheel bearings, change timing belt, and change the tranny fluid. I am so nervous. I don't trust them alone with my girl.:D

Gray wire, Some lights in the bed area, and some character marks throughout.

Make sure they put FEMALE type tranny fluid in and not the MALE type. Unless you like that throaty sound when "She" talks.

Any reason why they are changing the timing chain? Problems?

I thought both the 2.7 I4 and the 4.0 V6 had chains that didn't need replacing at specific mileage intervals such as the 3.4 V6 found in the previous generation Tacoma's?

Your truck has a timing chain, not belt. Why is it being changed?

Whats wrong with the wheel bearings?

It isn't. Had a brain fart. She is home safe and sound now. Had the right wheel bearing replaced, the tranny fluid done, changed out plugs and wires. All good. Whew! Made me nervous. They even gave her a bath.

What kind of tranny fluid change? Full flush or just a drain on the pan and refill? I had a full flush today and notice I am shifting different. It is upshifting on any slightest acceleration. I am talking 4th to 3rd mostly. Another member said he had the same issue and thinks my tranny fluid level is off. I am heading back to the dealership tomorrow. :(
